Reflectors can be useful indeed.. do keep in mind that sometimes it can be prefered to
skip using it. Sometimes without is better. It all depends on the scene.

Thanks. As i haven't used it yet, I understand better how to work without it than with it. But I have a shoot today and tomorrow :happybounce:
Hopefully I can improve on this shot... The lack of light gave the effect I was looking for, but hurt the quality a bit. :fingerscrossed:
Thanks again for your kind and helpful words, and your inspiring shots!!! :tighthug:

So what's stopping you? ;)
Lighting is one of the most important factors in photography. So it is a really good idea to experiment with lighting. Practice with yourself as the subject.
If you look at my ID photo, I did that with my computer monitor as the light source. ;)
Good luck! And thanks for the input.

I got your note, and will get back to you "soon."
Frankly, I am still trying to get there myself.
But school is a great way to start.
I only got started in photography about a year ago. And wish I could afford to take some classes to learn the TECH stuff required to work a PRO camera.
You are on the right track though. There are a lot of very helpful people here on DA. As a start, I would say, do what you did with me, find work you really admire, and as them questions. Some may not respond, but a lot will be happy to help,LIKE ME! LOL.
That is how I learned some of my skills.
The other thing I do, is take a lot of pictures! Then go through them, and figure out what worked and why?! This will help you find your "style"
Anyway, gotta go, but ask me some more questions and i will happily help. :glomp:
